About Me
Over 20 Years of Experience. One Point of Contact.
I’m Daniel Love, founder and director of Daniel Love Projects Ltd.
I’ve spent more than two decades working across sales, engineering, estimating and project management, with much of my career focused on fuel storage, generator fuel systems and associated mechanical infrastructure.
That experience has given me something I consider particularly valuable: an understanding of a project from more than one perspective.
I understand the technical side, but I also understand estimating, procurement, commercial pressures, programme, site constraints and, importantly, what the client actually needs at the end of it.
Today, I bring all of that together through Daniel Love Projects Ltd.
How I Got Here
My career wasn't built solely behind a project management desk.
I originally developed my experience through sales and account management, before moving into specialist technical sales within the fuel storage industry. From there, my career progressed through estimating, project engineering, general management and project management.
Each stage taught me something different. Sales taught me to listen to the client and understand what they're actually trying to achieve.
Estimating taught me to look properly at scope, specification, risk and cost.
Engineering gave me a greater understanding of how things need to be designed, manufactured and installed in the real world.
Project and general management brought those disciplines together — coordinating clients, engineers, subcontractors, manufacturers and suppliers to take a job from an initial enquiry through to a completed installation.
That journey is a big part of how I approach projects today. I don't look at a project purely as a drawing, a quotation or an installation. I look at the whole job.
Going Out on My Own
After years of working within established businesses, I decided it was time to take the experience I'd accumulated and do things under my own name.
In 2025, I established my own operation as a sole trader, delivering specialist project management and mechanical works directly to clients and industry partners. My work included tank installations, generator fuel systems and compliance-related projects across healthcare, data and industrial environments.
It gave me the opportunity to build the sort of business I wanted to work in myself — responsive, practical and without unnecessary layers between the person with the problem and the person responsible for solving it.
As the workload, client base and ambitions for the business developed, the next logical step was to establish Daniel Love Projects Ltd.
For me, becoming a limited company wasn't about making the business feel bigger than it is.
It was about building something properly structured, professional and capable of growing, while retaining the personal service that made working independently successful in the first place.
What I Do Today
Daniel Love Projects provides specialist project management and delivery support for fuel storage and fuel infrastructure projects throughout the UK.
I can become involved right at the beginning, when the client may simply know that they have a problem, and remain involved through:
Survey → Scope → Design → Costing → Procurement → Planning → Installation → Commissioning → Handover
My experience includes fuel storage tank installations and upgrades, generator fuel systems, bulk-to-day-tank transfer systems, pumps and pipework, fuel polishing and filtration, fill point installations, gauges and alarms, remedial works, surveys and compliance inspections.
But the important bit isn't simply knowing the equipment.
It's knowing how to turn a requirement into a deliverable project.
That means identifying what needs doing, understanding the risks, getting the right specialists involved, developing the scope, obtaining the right equipment, coordinating the programme and making sure everybody knows what they're responsible for.
Experience in Critical Environments
A large part of my work has been undertaken in environments where the fuel system isn't simply another piece of building equipment.
It can be critical infrastructure.
I've worked across NHS hospitals and healthcare facilities, data centres and IT environments, schools and universities, commercial and industrial facilities, utilities, power generation and facilities management.
Those environments require a different approach.
Taking equipment offline can have consequences. Access can be restricted. Existing installations aren't always exactly as the drawings suggest. Programmes change. Other contractors need coordinating. And sometimes a problem only becomes fully apparent once you're standing in front of it.
That's where experience matters.
My approach is to understand the site, identify the risks early and develop a solution that works practically as well as technically.
More Than Project Management
Although Project Management is at the heart of Daniel Love Projects, I don't see my role as simply producing programmes, arranging meetings and chasing contractors.
My background allows me to get much more involved.
I can walk a site with a client or engineer, discuss the existing system, help develop the scope, review potential solutions, obtain specialist input, build the quotation and then manage the project through delivery.
My experience combines technical understanding with commercial awareness, which allows me to consider not only whether something will work, but whether it's sensible, achievable and cost-effective.
Sometimes the correct solution isn't the most complicated one.
It's the one that solves the problem properly.
Why Daniel Love Projects?
I deliberately want DLP to retain the advantages of being a specialist, personally managed business.
When you contact Daniel Love Projects, you're dealing with me.
I'm involved in understanding the requirement, developing the project and making decisions. Where specialist engineering, fabrication, installation or commissioning expertise is required, I work with the appropriate suppliers and subcontractors to bring that capability into the project.
That provides clients with something very simple:
One point of contact. Clear responsibility. No unnecessary layers.
It's an approach built around direct communication, flexibility and accountability — principles that have remained important throughout my career.
What Matters to Me
I don't believe good project management needs to be complicated.
Understand the problem. Be clear about the scope. Use the right people. Communicate properly. Do what you've said you're going to do.
And deliver something you'd be happy putting your own name against.
That's the standard I'm building Daniel Love Projects Ltd around.
Use the right people. Because ultimately, my name is on it.
